If you are a developer like me, you have many side projects or websites, and you add Google Analytics to each one of them to track how many users you get.

Google Analytics is a very powerful tool and it's free, so it makes sense to put it on every project from an early stage.

Google Analytics is great but has two main problems:

1. Has too many options

I just want to know how the projects are going.

I want to see if the users are growing or not, compared to the previous 7, 30 or 90 days.

2. There is no way of getting an overview of all your projects at once

You need to switch between different views, properties and accounts, just to check how a websites is doing.

To switch between them is quite annoying and can take several minutes.

A simple solution

Digest Analytics solves exactly the two problems above, giving you a very simple screen with all your projects and the # of users of the current week, and if they are growing or not.

This is an MVP that I can already start using, not a perfectly finished product.

I wanted to reduce the scope of the project as much as possible in order to actually ship it. In the future there will be a weekly or monthly digest with the most important analytics.

For now only Universal Analytics is supported. GA4 will come later, if someone is interested.
